Research and Consultancy Services
Barry has an established reputation for his work in the field of learning – especially in the areas of talent development and intrinsic learning motivation. He championed the work of Prof Carol Dweck at a time when the classroom implications of mindset theory were little understood, and he toured with her in 2010, speaking to packed conferences in the UK and Norway. Barry welcomes expressions of interest from educators wishing to engage in full or part-time doctoral level action research study under his supervision in the following (related) areas:
  • Talent development
  • Intrinsic learning motivation
  • Gifted education
  • Developing expertise
  • Mindset theory and/or goal achievement theory
Barry has some limited capacity for training and consultancy work in schools and LAs, and this aspect of his work is managed exclusively by Osiris Educational. These services are in high demand and if you wish to explore the possibility of Barry working in your school or LA, please contact his PA, Katie Grainger, directly: email K Grainger or tel. 01790 755783. Katie will be able to discuss issues around availability, terms, etc.
